This US election has been the most entertainment rich ever. It has generated books, TV and above all internet coverage in huge amounts.
Here at Spiralcat we have been watching the presidential debates. They encapsulated the differences between the two canditates and while Mccain was stuck in the attack politics of the past which helped to tie him to Bush, Obama held forth at unusual length about the real situation facing America and the population felt included.
We didn't bother watching the vice presidential candidates debate but we did keep up with Tina Fey and her republican busting skits on Saturday Night Live via the internet.

We read both Obama books and they add depth to the vision Obama puts forth on the election trail. They are both well worth reading and give an insight into the time he spent as a comunity activist which undoubtably shaped his views and more importantly his strategy.
