Spiralcat on TV

Television is the predominant medium of our time, ahead of the internet for now even. We at Spiralcat love it. We love good television, bad television, ground-breaking TV and the same old, same old TV.

We all remember classic shows like The Clangers, Dr. Who, The Incredible Hulk and Blue Peter, in fact if it was not for these shows then students might not have anything to talk to each other about when they meet at college for the first time.

Here at Spiralcat we have watched a lot of TV and here are some of our opinions about what we saw;

What we thought of Al Jazeera

Animation

Televised first presidential debate between Obama and McCain

TV unites society in shared experience at all levels of society. Laughing with grandma at Laurel and Hardy and marvelling at the antics of the Teletubies with the under fives.

Television is absolutely stuffed with cheese, and this is one of the reasons that I love it the most. I love terrible old 70s shows like Morecombe and Wise, The Good Life and Faulty Towers.

At the same time there is some real art on television like Saphire and Steel.

Animation is another area in which TV gives us quality stuff day after day, Samurai Jack, The Magic Roundabout and Animated Batman to pull just a few shows out of the hat.

We want to talk about all TV here at Spiralcat and thius is likely to be the fastest growing section of the content.
