for role-playing games
This role-playing game starfighter is designed to be piloted by a team of two. With so many gun emplacements a second dedicated crew person is required to handle the extra workload and let the far future space pilot get on with flying, that extra seat is a great place to carry a game non-player charcter as well. The important thing to remeber is that this is intended for a far future space opera role-playing game science fiction setting with robot monkeys and towering aliens with bug eyes and fire breathing proclivities. A more unrealistic and unbalanced game vehicle design could not be imagined. The huge sci fi stalwart of the oversize blaster slung below its far future incredibly complex body would problaby tear it apart without some exotic and entirely imaginery devices and gadgets. It means it would have to land with antigrav and could probably only operate in deep space with the aid of its mothership. In game terms this fighter is the product of a very advanced tech level. But for protecting the queen of your rebel planet,
nothing else will do.
To counteract this quite warlike design I suddenly decided it would be great if this far future space fighter was a beautiful lilac colour.
I noticed that the great Ralph Mcquarie mixed a bit of lilac into the greys he used to paint the concept designs for the original Star Wars trilogy. His paintings weren't quite as lilac as this one though.
I also put a lot of engines on it so it'll go real fast.

Star Frontiers is a great system and I love it but it doesn't quite do justice to the outlandish and advanced features I like to pack into my SF game designs.
