Site Overview
Homepage Spiralcat originaly started as a site purely dedicted to advertising the translation services provided by Brett Fitzpatrick and Barbara Stanzl. Two native speakers who translate between English and German. This is the default page and a lot of translation pages can be found from there.
Language learning tips This section was added to give the site some content for Google to search and increase the traffic to the site. It was an obvious next step for us because it is closely related to translations and as we had both spent time teaching languages it was something we could write usefully about.
Science Fiction This next section was added because it is a subject that Brett Fitzpatrick is passionate about and finds no difficulty in generating content. Initially this was all simply to make the site more popular but it has grown into a stand alone area of the site totally unrelated to the translations and language learning.
Music Page This page was added to publisize the singing and songwriting skills and talents of Barbara Stanzl. It was proving difficult to get Myspace to look just the way we wanted and hosting the page on Spiralcat gives us more controll.
Photography Portfolio Barbara Stanzl is also an enthusiastic and talented photographer. This page is her portfolio of photographs and a few short descriptions and texts describing them and influenced by them.
Illustration Portfolio Brett Fitzpatrick is an illustrator with years of experience, university training and a little bit of talent as well. His online illustration portfolio is here
