This is the photography of Barbara Stanzl. She takes photographs of the everyday corners of life that surround us but are often overlooked. A reflection in a pane of glass seen from a speeding car, the sun glinting on a beach at sunset or a chance view of swimmers glimpsed through a chain link fence. Each photo captures something fleeting and allows us to see it for the thing of beauty that it undoubtedly is.

Row upon row of sun shades pay homage to the setting Italian sun in this photograph.

A nice little moment caught from the US 08 election.

Row upon row of bottles stalk along the shelf like super models on the catwalk.

Colour is very important in these photographs and often takes centre stage in the foreground. A coloured glass panel in the midground might hide the detail behind or the entire photograph might be suffused with light of a single colour.

The photography is digital and the resolution varies between high and very low, a 2 megapixel mobile phone or "handy" camera is as likely to be used as a high resolution 7 megapixel camera. The frames have glare and motion effects to give a very comfortable and natural feeling.
