The Moonbugs Comic Strip
Here we see all the Moonbugs from the comic strip together in one place racing each other.
This Strip tells the story of a little race on the Moonbugs home planet. Of course if you have wings then it makes the race easy. Here in this comic strip the Moonbugs are again trying to deal with the boredom induced by living on a tiny moon. The humour in this comic strip comes from the very different sizes shapes and abilities of the different Moonbugs. As the other Moonbugs drop out get tired and get lost throughout the comic strip we see one Moonbug gliding through with no effort at all. This cute blue furry comic book character has wings and of course as is said in the final panel of the comic strip it isn't fair that he was invited to take part at all.
The inspiration is probably in part from one of my idols
Bill Watterson who often had
Calvin and Hobbes race one another or compete with each other, there's just something inherintly funny about competition.
The silly little Moonbugs from the cartoon can't work this out without forst running the race, but to us inteligent comic strip readers who always have one eye out for an attempt at a joke it is obvious from the start.
The Moonbugs have their own
comic strip blog and there are already a great deal of comic strips there to have a look at and of course to have a laugh at.
