The Moonbugs Comic Strip

This is one of the first Moonbugs comic strips I did. I like the lack of words in it. The robot character doesn't say anything and so he acts as the perfect straight man in this comic strip.
The humour in this comic strip comes from these exotic characters living in exotic circumstances who are dissatisfied with their lives and their lot. The robot character in the comic is inactivity and boredome personified and the pink alien character from the comic has a go at something, anything to put a break in the boredome but it is no good their world is just too small.

Th e robot character in the comic strip, and this might be hard to believe, is actually inspired by the creations of Klee. I like his gently humerous graphic works which have to my eye something of the feel of a modern comic book to them. The robot in this strip was inspired by the insect-like band members in one of his illustrations.
