GRAVCAR
D E S I G N S
In this role-paying game anti-gravity devices are common place and the air car is one of the most elegant examples. Pure grav vehicles tend to be small, larger vehicles and space ships in the game which have grav drive tend also to have thrusters or some other secondary form of thrust. It is possible to have huge vehicles, and even spaceships when maneuvering within an atmosphere, wich have pure grav drives, but they tend to be expensive.

Air cars are most often used on the game planets with an atmosphere and so tend to be streamlined. It is possible to find non streamlined more industrial versions which were designed for moons and asteroids being pressed into service on planets with an atmosphere. All action rolls in these non streamlined aircars when moving at speed are with a -1 game roll modifier.
Air cars are more than capable of navigating and driving themselves but don't tend to have high order AI. Robot drivers are not at all uncommon however and often have additional security and protocol as game areas of expertise.

Arial 70
An example of an aircar used extensively throughout the game universe is the Arial 70. It is a design that was originally produced by a rich aircar enthusiast on one of the core worlds of the Former Imperium with a garage sized fabrication plant at his disposal. It became an instant classic and was quickly taken up as a design by various companies across the human populated space of the game universe. For a millennia old design it holds up pretty well against modern designs and has a good top speed.
Its standard game fuel cells will need replenishing or replacing after 2 or 3 months use and 2 people can ride in comfort with a small hold designed for a picknick and some hunting gear.
