Learning English on the Move
My phone is an invaluable resource for learning English on the move.

I can listen to some of the already existing free English mp3 out there and I also create my own mp3 from books on CD with the mp3 creation option in itunes (which is free to download).

I can create electronic flash cards with Minipauker. This is also free to download.

I can read books loaded on to the phone in my target language with Read Maniac. Again this is free to download. Reading is very important for language learning.

It is also possible to download a dictionary for the phone but I have never found them very useful. The phone keyboard slows down looking up words, at least for me, I'm not part of the sms generation. There are many free dictionarys  for smart phones on the getjar site, and some other useful software too.

As you can see from this picture my phone is old and scratched and dusty. I use it every day to help me improve my German and it can be used in this way to help in the learning of almost any language.

I am also never without my Electronic translator. I can not imagine using a paper dictionary to look up words on the underground, but I use this translator for just that every day. I read on the underground with a book in one hand and my translator in the other.

My latest project is a blog where me and my girlfriend talk about no end of everyday things, like plays, movies, music places and everyday life and it is at http://spiralcattalks.blogspot.com. The problem with my previous internet creations has always been coming up with enough content. As we never stop talking about stuff, this shouldn't be a problem in the future.
