Discussion
I think this kind of lesson is the heart of English teaching. The students produce the sort of language they would use in evry day situations and give you the chance to work with them in areas that will really help them.
Just paste the material below into a word document to give everyone something to refer to as the lesson goes on.

What do you see in the picture?

What makes a good discussion?
Is it better to have a moderated discussion with a chair or a brainstorming session?

Chose one of the following topics and have a discussion.

1.Should the following services be privatised?
Hospitals, Police, Military

2.Is the work life balance correct in western Europe?
What can be done about it?

3.Are tasks shared equally between men and women in most relationships?
If they are not, should they be?

4.What can be done about climate change?
Should cars be banned? Should fuel be taxed? Should there be tolls on the roads?

5.Is religion playing a larger or smaller role in world affairs and is this a bad or a good thing?

Is there a subject close to your heart that is not on the list?

Should these subjects be talked about with customers and company visitors?

Are there subjects that should never be discussed?
