Bottles (A Photograph)
A picture by Barbara Stanzl
One of the most beautiful things about this nice photograph is the pixelation resulting from the low resolution it was taken at (2 megapixels). Each shape is at the same time a simple low resolution group of pixels and a complex backlit play of light on the chip inside the digital camera..
The photograph was taken at a short lived watering hole among the ultra-modern developments on the north bank of the Danube at Vienna and the ultramodern development seemed to suit the low-res pixilated image produced by the camera phone.
Barbara Stanzl's photography is interested in the little details of life. The intimate motif that lies at the edge of vision on the outskirts of our life that yet somehow triggers a moment of recognition when seen in a photograph
