“Dieberater”
This is a deux ex machina for any scenario in a science fiction role playing game. This is a robot spaceship that acts as a host for one of the most developed AI entities ever created. It is super inteligent and super powerful. Organic creatures like humans or any other of the game player character options are not routinely invited on board such a huge and interesting ship but Dieberater sometimes wants to benefit from our experience and it is certainly a learning opportunity for both sides. The robot host ship is now completely self sufficient and can find, gather and mine all the raw materials it needs to keep growing and improving. It has existed for thousands of years and posses a technology in advance of the role playing game environment around it. And of course any technology which is sufficiently advanced seems like magic.
The huge size of the spaceship is very useful in game terms. Deck plans can be almost randomly generated and as the spaceship is automated there is no need for the game area to follow the usual layout of a spaceship intended for humans. Strange dead ends and huge halls full of enigmatic robot servitors are just as likely as an easy to follow corridor or ventilation shaft for the players.
