Animated Flash Cards
These flash cards are for language learning and although they are aimed at children and younger English learners they can be used by anyone. Each English word is accompanied by an animation to make it more than just a word and so help you remember it. Try to remember the German equivalent for the word and then click
turn the card over to see if you were right.
This is a project that I started a couple of years ago and never got beyond the real starting stages.
The available card decks were going to have included the following;
Spiral Cat Animals
Fairy Tale Creatures
Nursery Rhymes
Trains, Planes and Automobiles
but if I had completed the project and actually illustrated every card in four fifty three card decks - well you do the maths - it would have been a huge project. I did however complete one or two cards and some of the illustrations for the cards were even animated, so you are welcome to click the links I managed to activate and see some of the illustrations that I did produce. If you are interested in the projects I'm doing now then you might want to have a look at
Starbright Illustrations, my Illustration blog.
Spiral Cat Animals:-

Spiral Cat is a magical cat and she can change into any animal she wants. Try to remember the animals she changes into and the reasons why.
Fairy Tale Creatures:-
Vampires, dragons and unicorns are as real as anything to children, but can you remember the German words for all these magical creatures?
Nursery Rhymes:-
These are the songs and ideas that have captured our imaginations for years or even centuries, but what do they mean? These cards have the German translations.
Trains, Planes and Automobiles:-
Transport is very important to modern life and it’s a lot of fun as well, and in another language it is even more fun.
